With rise in awareness for sustainability post-pandemic, I value brands who take the initiative to address this problem. For my senior project, I wanted to use Patagonia as my channel to voice my opinions about packaging waste.

Concept

My senior project focused on managing cardboard and plastic waste in order to give new lives to unconventional, unsustainable landfill products such as cardboard. Therefore, my concept was for Patagonia to implement a new program called Transform Wear, which would turn these unconventional packaging materials into sustainable garments made out of lyocell fabric - a more sustainable, durable alternative to cotton - with the aim to educate and increase consumer engagement with sustainable practices.
